THE LANGUAGE OF SCIENTIFIC AND PEDAGOGICAL WRITING: THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL ASPECTS
Abstract. Scientific and pedagogical journals play a crucial role in dis seminating scholarly knowledge, sharing pedagogical practices, and shaping academic discourse. The language of these journals is not merely a means of transmitting information; it is also a discursive instrument through which scientific thought, methodological approaches, and the author’s position are expressed. This article analyzes the language of scientific-pedagogical writing from functional, stylistic, and expressive perspectives, identifies existing problems, and proposes potential solu tions. Although the research primarily focuses on journals published in the Azerbaijani language, comparative analysis also incorporates exam ples from English and Russian academic writing. The study reveals that the language of scientific-pedagogical writing should function not only as a technical tool but also as a pedagogical instrument. Therefore, continuous development in this field—including the establishment of terminological standards and the enhancement of academic writing skills—remains an essential need.
