IRAVAN TEACHERS’ SEMINARY AND NEW TYPE GENESIS OF PUBLIC-EDUCATIONAL MOVEMENT

Abstract. The article evaluates the national struggle of the Azerbaijani people against the «Armeni anization revival» of the Iravan khanate from the historical and pedagogical perspective, as well as the process of formation of the social-educational movement. Determining the genesis of the religious and secular organization of Iravan by Azerbaijanis, who are the local population of Iravan Khanate, allows determining the influence of the Nakhchivan-Tabriz geocultural line on the struggle of Azerbaijanis for national interests. It is noted that the process of transformation from Muslim ethnic-religious identity to Tatar-Turkish, from there to Azerbaijani-Turkish, and finally to Azerbaijani ethnic national identity was the main rock of the national struggle carried out by intellectuals of this period with great force. This process in itself was the driving force of the historical mission in the formation of a new type of national enlightenment movement for two centuries and then in the modernization of national thought.
