A VIEW OF THE HISTORY OF SCIENTIFIC PEDAGOGICAL PRESS THROUGH THE JOURNAL “PRESCHOOL AND PRIMARY EDUCATION”

Abstract. The article analyzes, within a scientific-historical context, the development trajectory of the journal “Preschool and Primary Educati on”, which has played a significant role in the formation and advance ment of Azerbaijan’s scientific-pedagogical press since 1970. The study identifies structural, thematic, and design-related changes in the journal over time, as well as the gradual renewal and internationalization of its editorial board. It is emphasized that the journal, published under the leadership of Professor Yahya Karimov from 1970 to 2021, and since 2021 led by education researcher and journalist Boyukagha Mikayilli, has contributed to shaping the scientific-theoretical and methodological foundation of Azerbaijani education, particularly in the fields of prescho ol and primary education. Based on an analysis of materials published in the journal from 1970 to 2025, the study summarizes key trends related to educational reforms, the implementation of subject curricula, pedagogi cal innovations, teacher–student relations, and methodological advance ments in the teaching process.
