THE IMPORTANCE OF PROPER USE OF DIGITAL TOOLS IN PRESCHOOL EDUCATION
Abstract. The article examines the importance of the proper and purposeful use of digital tools in the preschool education stage. In the modern era, the integration of information and communication technologies into the educational process is considered one of the key factors influencing the cognitive, socio-emotional, and creative development of preschool-aged children. The study analyzes the pedagogical potential of digital tools—such as interactive whiteboards, educa tional software, and learning applications—while emphasizing the necessity of their age-appropriate, balanced, and safe implementation from a scientific and pedagogical perspective. In addition, the positive and negative effects of the dig ital environment on children’s development are comparatively explored, high lighting the crucial roles of preschool teachers and parents in this process. The article systematizes existing challenges related to the use of digital technologies in preschool education institutions by taking into account regulatory and legal frameworks, contemporary pedagogical approaches, and elements of international experience. Furthermore, the potential adverse effects of the uncontrolled and purposeless use of digital tools on children’s psychological and physical development are explained based on scientific sources. The findings of the study contribute to the development of practical recommendations aimed at increasing the effectiveness of digital tool usage in preschool education institutions.
