SCIENTIFIC AND PEDAGOGICAL BASES OF CITIZEN IDENTITY FORMATION IN PRESCHOOL AND PRIMARY SCHOOL AGE PERIOD

Abstract. The article deals with the social integration of the developing young generation into society in the conditions of humanization and democratization of education in the modern education system of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It is noted that identification of the nation to which he belongs, and national-cultural values play a fundamental role in this process. This factor determines the necessity of civic identity in children and its relevance in modern times as a concept. Civic identity means any person belonging to a certain society, where common cultural foundations prevail, that is, a person realizes which society he belongs to as a citizen and operates on the basis of a certain system of relations in both the natural and social environment. Civic identity, being a citizen of which country, and understanding it is one of the important factors in personality development. The preschool and junior school age period is the main age period in the formation of students as citizens and their adaptation to civil society.
