WAYS OF TEACHING LACONIC SPEECH SKILLS TO PRIMARY CLASS STUDENTS

Abstract. The article talks about ways of forming speech culture and laconic language skills in primary school students. The presence of laconic language skills, which is one of the requirements of the modern era, is especially emphasized. The ability to convey an idea clearly and concisely is one of the important aspects for people. It is appropriate to start instilling the ability to express thoughts succinctly, both in written and oral form, from primary classes. The primary school teacher has a special role in students’ acquisition of laconic speech habits. Many of the subjects taught in primary grades are assigned to the same teacher. Therefore, primary school teachers have more opportunities to teach students the ability to express information in a concise manner. According to the author, the ability to express information succinctly is the embodiment of the richness of a person’s vocabulary. In this sense, it is important to enrich students’ language before teaching them laconic language skills.
