THE ROLE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PRIMARY EDUCATION PROCESS

Abstract. The article examines the integration of artificial intelligence into the primary education process and its impact on students’ learning activities, as well as on the teaching profession and the quality of education. The main purpose of the study is to analyze the application of artificial intelligence technologies in primary grades, along with their advantages and limitations, from a scientific and pedagogical perspective. The article explores the process of personalized learning supported by artificial intelligence, identifies the opportunities it creates for students, and examines its role in the development of their knowledge and skills. At the same time, taking into account the psychological characteristics of primary school students, the potential risks of the excessive use of artificial in telligence—such as the weakening of social interaction, dependence on technology, data security concerns, and issues related to equal access to education—are also discussed. Accordingly, the study analyzes students’ social and emotional skills formed through interaction with teachers and peers. The research further highlights the possibilities of reducing teachers’ workload and increasing the effectiveness of teaching. As a result, the article examines the impact of artificial intelligence on primary education and explores various ways of laying the foun dation for future learning and development. Given that young learners differ in their levels of understanding, learning pace, and interests, the study demonstrates that gaps arising from these differences can be effectively addressed through the useologies.
