CAREER BARRIERS FROM TEACHERS INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECT OF ORGANIZATIONAL CYNICISM
Abstract. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the relationship between the career barriers faced by teachers working in primary education institutions and their organizational cynicism and to determine the predictability of teachers’ career barriers on organizational cynicism. In order to reveal this aim, the relational screening model was used in the research. The proportional element sampling was used in the research and the views of 340 teachers were taken into consideration. The data were collected using the “Career Barriers Scale of Teachers” developed by İnandı ve Gılıç (2020) and the “Organizational Cynicism Scale” developed by Oğuz (2012). In the analysis of the data, correlation analysis, regression, t test and one-way analysis of variance were used, and as a result of the research, “gender” made a significant difference in family, economic and bureaucratic obstacles in front of teachers’ careers. In “organizational cynicism’’, there was a significant difference in the participation of employees in decisions. According to the seniority of the teachers, there were significant differences in all aspects of career barriers and cynicism. There were significant relationships between career barriers and organizational cynicism and career barriers predicted organizational cynicism significantly.
