LEADERSHIP COACHING AS A CATALYST FOR CHANGE IN EDUCATION

Abstract. This article examines leadership coaching as an effective approach that supports the professional development of teachers and school administrators in the field of education, fostering self-development and collaborative practice. The implementation of leadership coaching in Azerbaijani schools not only promotes change within the education system but also contributes to the development of leadership competencies among teachers and school leaders. This approach has the potential to bring about positive changes in school management practices and to improve educational outcomes. At the same time, the article highlights that leadership coaching helps build trust and collaboration between school administ rators and teachers. Its primary aim is to support individuals in realizing their full potential. The coaching process focuses on goal setting, problem analysis, and identifying appropriate strategies to achieve positive results. This, in turn, can lead to more effective school management and enhanced quality of education. The article further notes that the application of leadership coaching in Azerbaijani schools results in a range of positive changes in the professional practices of school leaders and teachers. The integration of new technologies, particularly remote coaching methods, enables leadership coaching to be disseminated more widely. Future research will be valuable in examining the effectiveness of coaching in greater depth and in comparing it with different instructional and professional development approaches. Collective collaboration, the application of modern educational methods, and the expansion of coaching programs may represent an important step forward for the Azerbaijani education system.
